Could that incomplete terminal cause the board not to operate?Ģ. Pac board that came in the cab - that it is obviously missing.ġ. That red terminal has a top over it with a red "reset" button on it. In looking at my identical Pac board in my Pac cab. Again, I know squat about the electronics involved but in looking at the board I found one area on it that may be the problem, see photo below with arrows. Since the board seems to be the problem I started looking at it for anything obvious. Maybe it's a wiring harness incompatibility, dunno? Pac-man cab? I'm not very knowledgeable on boards but I thought Ms.Pac and Pac boards were interchangeable. Sidenote: I'm still scratching my head at why my working Pac-man board (altered to Ms.Pac) works just fine in my Pac-man cab, but comes up with screen errors plugged into my Ms. So that means it is probably the board the board that's bad. Pac) the game didn't come up normal but the monitor was working and had a solid screen of random letters and numbers like you see for Rom errors. The bad news is that when I put my Pac-man board from my working Pac cab into the Ms.Pac machine (the board is modified to play Ms. I'm not afraid of taking too many pics as you can tell. If I go that route, I will post the entire stenciling process step by step. But hopefully I can work something out for a vinyl set. I will stencil it piece by piece if I have to. I do not want to put stickers on this - I refuse. I hope to work with a vendor here to possibly get some vinyl stencils cut. I suspect that the metal bracket laying across the power could have shorted something out. I have another monitor to throw in it to see if that is really the issue.

Not bad for 100.00.Īnyways here are the photos as I opened it up for the first time. The marquee is mint and the body is in very good structural condition and everything is there. Got it home and took some pics for the "BEFORE" documentation. I asked if he'd take 50.00 for it since the monitor didn't work and he shook his head and looked at me sideways like I was a Martian, so I quickly handed over the cash and loaded it up before he could think about how absurd my attempt at haggling was. He plugged it in to show me that the marquee lit up but that was it. The guy said that it worked fine until his son and him moved it to his shop and then the monitor simply wouldn't come on or power-up.
